Brust, Brust, Baby!

The NBA pre-draft combine is this week, and Wisconsin Badgers’ alumni Ben Brust recently was working out for the Milwaukee Bucks.  Everyone in Wisconsin loves Ben Brust as he led the Badgers to the Final Four this past season. The man deserves a shot.  He’s still trying to get over the loss, he said, and he is focusing now on graduating and getting ready for sun and basketball, he noted last week.

Brust averaged 9 points per-game, 1.3 assists per-game, and 3.5 rebounds per-game, while shooting .387 from three-point land throughout his career with the Badgers.  His senior year was his best year as he averaged 12.8 points per-game, 1.3 assists per-game, 4.5 rebounds per-game, and nearly hit 40% of his threes.  Brust would be an excellent guard coming off the bench with Nate Wolters moving forward, Jarred Abbrederis is staying put in Wisconsin, why not have another loved Wisconsin senior stay in the state.  Brust is not expected to be drafted, with a hard-working combine though, anything can really happen and he will most likely get a tryout somewhere if he’s not drafted this Summer.
