GRAND CHUTE, Wis.–

After what was called one of the oddest injuries in recent memory, Milwaukee Brewers second baseman Scooter Gennett is ready to return to action. He’ll be making a return to where his name became known, in the outskirts of Appleton, Wisconsin.

Gennett played with the Brewers’ class-A affiliate Wisconsin Timber Rattlers his first year in the pro’s, playing 118 games, hitting nine home runs, and a batting average of .309 in 2010.

Gennett is scheduled to rehab with the up-and-down Rattlers–who have won four of their last five–from Friday, May 1st through Monday, May 4th. Friday through Sunday, Wisconsin hosts first-place Quad Cities before hosting another three-game series against the Cedar Rapids Kernels, Monday through Wednesday.
