Former Badgers Brust and Taylor Reunite with Bucks

LAS VEGAS–

Former Wisconsin Badgers’ guards Ben Brust and Jordan Taylor are teammates once again.. for now anyway. The pair of former Badgers played together from 2010-2012. Both Wisconsin standouts got invites to the Milwaukee Bucks Summer League in Las Vegas, which ended last week.  The key word, of course, is invite.  Neither of the two were too impressive, but they didn’t get the minutes to do so.  Jordan Taylor has got more playing time than Brust, averaging 10 minutes per-game, while only shooting 20% from the field. Ben Brust is only averaging 5.5 minutes, and has not attempted a shot in the four summer league games.

It’s still early so they still have some games to maybe get some more playing time to show Milwaukee what they can do.  The Bucks are more focused on how Jabari Parker, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Nate Wolters, and Johnny O’Bryant play together in exhibition matches, which was expected.  You have to love the former Badgers getting a shot to stay in Wisconsin.  Both Brust and Taylor have the skills to be great bench players with Milwaukee struggling at the guard position.  You can always use a solid bench point guard, which Taylor could be that man.  Brust is always a threat from behind the arc.  With the minutes each have got so far, it looks like Milwaukee is looking at another direction.
